"Miss Ocean City" - 1941" by Paul McGehee. This nostalgic scene from the early 1940's shows Ocean City, Maryland's namesake speedboat taking a handful of vacationers for a cruise up the beach. Speeding along the coast in the "Miss Ocean City" was a fun way to tour Maryland's famous beach resort. She would depart from the Magee Yacht Basin on the bayside, heading out of the inlet into the Atlantic Ocean, where "Miss Ocean City" would cut through the waves along the shoreline. The bathers on the beach watched her speed along, cutting through the waves like a hot knife through butter...she was a sight to see in those pre-war days "down the ocean." This brings back fond memories of carefree days at the beach, feeling the wind in your hair and the salt spray on your skin! Beautiful! "Miss Ocean City" - 1941" is faithfully reproduced as an archival-quality print from McGehee's original color pencil drawing, each hand-signed by the artist. Edition size 500 S/N. Print image size: 6 1/2" x 10". (Final shipping cost on this small print may indeed be less than actually displayed upon purchase, depending upon destination and weight.)
