Charles Lundgren (1911-1988) was one of the most respected marine artists of the 20th century, and an acquaintance of Paul McGehee. Among his accomplishments were a series of paintings of sailing ships that became US postage stamps in the 1970's. His works were in the collections of such people as President and Mrs. Dwight D.
