"Fischkutter" by Geo Furst (1888-1964). A beautiful scene of fishing boats under sail, with lots of dramatic palette-knife work in the execution of the painting. Furst was a very popular German marine artist who is best known for a comprehensive documenting of the island of Malta in the 1930's. His images were used for a history book on Malta which is still in circulation to this day.
