"The "Cutty Sark"" by Hugh Knollys (1918-2006). A classic clipper ship painting by a true British naval hero. The artist, Cmdr. Hugh Knollys DSC, was decorated for his heroics during the D-Day invasion of Normandy in 1944, and served his country well on cruisers, minesweepers and destroyers before, during and after World War II. During his naval career he always had a love of art and later became professional painter of marine art and portraiture. After a long and successful career as an artist, Knollys recently died at age 87. This print of the famous "Cutty Sark" is from almost 40 years ago and is in great condition.
