"Agape" by Yanni Posnakoff. Agape is the Greek word for pure love. Of Russian ancestry, born in Greece, Yanni Posnakoff (1933- ) gained fame in the 1960's with his illustrations for the popular book "Childrens' Letters to God." Known for his paintings and drawings of angels, he also illustrated the book "Ask Your Angels." As well as being one of Greece's most popular artists, he has also devoted his life to helping those less fortunate...his Angel Gallery in New York City became a place of refuge for the homeless. His paintings have been exhibited worldwide and he has won numerous awards. Here is a hard-to-find limited edition print of Posnakoff's from the late 1960's, "Agape." We currently have two copies of this rarity in stock, pencil-numbered 92/225 and 93/225. Image size 24" x 18." In excellent condition for its age and rarity, long out-of-print.
