"Harbor Tug" by John Berkey (1932-2008). Here is a rare treat...a very early print by Berkey from 1970, showing a tugboat working in a harbor. A few years after the release of this piece, his career took an interesting turn. He was tapped by a young filmmaker named George Lucas to paint the artwork for the 1977 movie "Star Wars", and the rest is history. The late John Berkey was one of the most legendary names in fantasy and sci-fi art, and through the years has done work for the movies "King Kong", "The Towering Inferno", the "Star Trek" series and the "Indiana Jones" series. His works have also been made into stamps for the U.S. Postal System. This scarce print, "Harbor Tug", is in excellent condition. Print image size 13 1/2" x 17". Only one in stock.
