"Up and Down Old Brandywine" by Worth Brehm (1883-1928). A real gem of an antique color plate print!! This painting was commissioned and printed by The Ladies' Home Journal in 1923 along with a James Whitcomb Riley poem (which appears in the lower border). Worth Brehm was one of the most respected of the early 20th century illustrators, famous to this day for his illustrated editions of Mark Twain's books "Tom Sawyer" and "Huckleberry Finn". This 85 year old piece is in excellent condition. Print image size 9 1/2" x 8 1/2". Only one in stock.
