"Jamaican Schooner" by Paul McGehee. The beautiful and sleek schooner "Zaca" was built in 1929. The 118" vessel spent many years as a pleasure yacht before being taken over by the U.S. Government during World War II to be used as a West Coast radio ship. She is credited with communicating positions of passing Japanese ships while off of the California coast. During the 1950's she was a private yacht under the ownership of movie star Errol Flynn who sailed her in Caribbean waters out of Port Antonio, Jamaica. She fell into disrepair in the 1960's but was recently restored, and the storied "Zaca" now sails again as a charter yacht in the waters of Monaco. "Jamaican Schooner" is a beautiful, hand-signed archival-quality print faithfully reproduced from McGehee's original color pencil drawing issued in a strictly limited edition of only 500 pieces. Print image size: 10 1/2" x 17".
