"Funland"
by Paul McGehee. One of the most fun places you'll ever go, Funland at
Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Dating back to 1962, it was built on the site
of the old Rehoboth Beach Sports Center owned by the Dentino family.
Sold to the Fasnacht family, "Funland" initially had extensive storm
damage from a severe Atlantic weather system to deal with, and its
grand opening was delayed. After that challenging beginning, Funland
finally opened and has been putting smiles on the faces of young and
old alike for all of these years to the present day. In the early days
Funland offered a handful of rides and arcade attractions, but through
the years the Fasnachts have grown the little amusement park into a
sizable complex, situated directly on Rehoboth Beach's Boardwalk.
