"The
Georgetown Waterfront" by Paul McGehee. A beautiful hand-signed,
limited edition print showing the Georgetown waterfront in Washington,
DC, featuring the Car Barn building and the Key Bridge. Key Bridge was
named for Francis Scott Key, the composer of "The Star-Spangled Banner"
which became our National Anthem. Key himself once lived in a house not
far from the future site of this bridge, on what is now M Street and
the banks of the C&O Canal. Key Bridge, completed in 1923, is
Washington's oldest surviving bridge across the Potomac River. "The
Georgetown Waterfront" is faithfully
reproduced from Paul McGehee's original color pencil drawing.
