"Fischkutter" by Geo Furst (1888-1964). A beautiful scene of fishing boats under sail, with lots of dramatic palette-knife work in the execution of the painting. Furst was a very popular German marine artist who is best known for a comprehensive documenting of the island of Malta in the 1930's. His images were used for a history book on Malta which is still in circulation to this day. This particular print, "Fischkutter", is in very good condition...this is the original German issue of this rare piece, dating back to 1957. Print image size 12" x 9 1/2". Only one in stock.
